Amid the legal dispute over the inheritance of late Sona Comstar chairman Sunjay Kapur's assets worth Rs 30,000 crore, his mother Rani Kapur questioned how the entire estate could be transferred to his wife Priya Sachdev within just three months of her marriage.

Her statement comes after actresss Karisma Kapoor’s children Samaira and Kiaan moved Delhi High Court, seeking share in their late father’s assets. They alleged that Priya forged Sunjay Kapur’s will to seize complete control of his assets.

"My son today leaves me with not a roof on my head? I am 80 years old. Today I have nothing. I have written at least 15 emails asking about the will, what are the documents? Not a word has been shared. I have been told that my emails have been compromised. There is something incredibly unholy. Rs 10,000 crore worth of assets should have been mine," the lawyer representing Rani Kapur quoted her during a hearing at the court, as reported by Hindustan Times.

Rani also alleged that shares of Sona Comstar worth Rs 500 crore were sold to a Singapore entity, without sharing any documents with her. "Her vested interest goes into trust. All gone. I am nowhere. Ms Sachdev comes in, within three months of her getting married, everything goes? My son today leaves me with no roof over my head? I am Rani Kapur," she added, as per the report.

The Delhi High Court bench directed the issuance of summons to the defendants and sought written statements within two weeks, with replies to follow within one week thereafter. Priya Sachdeva has been directed to file a complete list of all movable and immovable assets of the deceased along with her reply. The matter will now be heard after three weeks for consideration of an ad-interim injunction.

Earlier in July, Rani alleged that she was 'coerced' into signing documents behind locked doors, and that some people were trying to usurp Kapur family's legacy. Sunjay Kapur passed away at 53 on June 12 in the UK while he was playing polo. In a letter to the board of Sona BLW, Rani Kapur called her son's untimely death as 'highly suspicious'.

According to the latest data on Sona BLW's shareholding pattern, Rani Kapur and the RK family trust is a promoter group to the company, and she owns 72 shares in the company.
