Sebi bars Axis Capital from acting as investment banker in debt market until further orders
The market regulator has restrained Axis Capital (ACL) from undertaking any assignments in the capacity of a merchant banker, an arranger or an underwriter for any issue of securities in the debt segment. Sebi was looking into the allegation that ACL extended itself beyond activities permitted to a merchant banker in the issue of listed non-convertible debentures (NCDs) of Sojo Infotel. Read more here

Nifty FMCG defies broader market sentiment; Nestle, HUL, Tata Consumer gain up to 4%
As most sectoral indices and the broader markets languished in a sea of red, the consumer staples sector outperformed with the Nifty FMCG rising over a percent. The top gainers on the index were FMCG giants such Nestle India, Hindustan Unilever, Tata Consumer and Dabur India, surging up to 4 percent. On the other hand, ITC, Varun Beverages, United Spirits and Radico Khaitan recorded losses in trade. Read more here

NTPC Green Energy files DRHP for Rs 10,000-crore IPO, earmarks portion for NTPC shareholders; check quota
NTPC Ltd’s renewable energy arm, NTPC Green Energy, has filed a draft red herring prospectus (DRHP) with Sebi to launch its much-anticipated Rs 10,000-crore initial public offering (IPO). The public issue, which could become India’s largest in 2024, will be entirely a fresh issue of equity shares, with no offer for sale from the promoter entities. The IPO will feature a quota for existing shareholders of parent company NTPC Ltd, with a maximum 10 percent of the issue earmarked under this category. Get details here

NPS Vatsalya: How to invest in this scheme?
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on September 18 rolled out the National Pension System (NPS)-Vatsalya, a scheme meant for parents who wish to create a long-term corpus for their children. Through this scheme, parents can invest in the name of their children up to the age of 18 years. The objective is to create a corpus for their children over the long term. Vivo V40e launch: This is when Vivo is making its latest 'camera-centric' phone more affordable
Vivo is set to launch the Vivo V40e in India soon. It follows the Vivo 40 Pro and V40, which were launched earlier this year. The smartphone manufacturer has started teasing the V40e and has also confirmed that it will come with an ‘Ultra-Slim Design.’ According to the company website, the Vivo V40e will be available in two colour options: Royal Bronze and Mint Green. The Drive Report: 2024 Hyundai Alcazar
At the surface level, this seems like an all-new Alcazar. It’s not, but the changes to the design seem to be more extensive than whatever qualifies as a facelift these days. The Alcazar, not surprisingly features the same front-end as the newly launched Creta, with H-shaped LED DRLs, a horizontal DRL strip connecting the two units, below which are the Quad beam LED headlamps. The bonnet is now flatter, the grille larger and the skid plates wider. This is an Alcazar on a high protein diet and while that does not translate to more power, it certainly does wonders for its road presence and form factor. Read here
