Nalin Moniz, the former CEO - Asset Management at Ionic Wealth has joined boutique investment advisory firm PPFAS (Parag Parikh Financial Advisory Services) as Executive VP- Investments. In a post on social media platform X ( formerly Twitter), Moniz called the move a homecoming and described the prominent asset manager as the “gold standard for long-term excellence, rigour and thought leadership in investment management.”
In the post, on Monday, February 1, Moniz praised PPFAS not only for its long-standing investment philosophy but also for its organisational culture, highlighting the firm’s emphasis on simplicity, transparency, ethics and respect. “I’m delighted to have the opportunity to work with the entire team to build something iconic,” he wrote.
Moniz’s career spans nearly two decades in financial services, including Angel One’s Ionic Wealth, where he served as CEO before moving on to his current role. Prior to that, he held senior investment roles and co-founded Forefront Capital Management, one of India’s early alternative investment firms, which was later acquired by Edelweiss Asset Management.
In a follow-up message on X, Moniz reflected on his long relationship with PPFAS as an investor, noting that he has been invested in the firm for over a decade and describing his move as a “homecoming to a family I’ve known for a long time.” He also paid tribute to Parag Parikh, the late founder of PPFAS, seeking his blessings and expressing his hope to honour Parikh’s legacy in his new role.
