Here is how financial markets across the globe fared overnight:

GIFT Nifty (Down)

The GIFT Nifty is trading lower at around 25,720, indicating a weak opening for the day.

Asian Equities (Fall)

Asian equities retreated from a record after concerns over the impact of artificial intelligence on various sectors spurred a selloff in US technology stocks and sent investors to the safety of Treasuries.

US Equities (Slip)

Wall Street indexes fell sharply on Thursday, with the technology-heavy Nasdaq slumping 2%, as investors intensified their selloff of tech shares and fled transport stocks amid worries about artificial intelligence disruption.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 669.42 points, or 1.34%, to 49,451.98, the S&P 500 gave up 108.71 points, or 1.57%, to 6,832.76 and the Nasdaq Composite lost 469.32 points, or 2.03%, to 22,597.15.

US Bond Yield (Flat)

The US Treasury 10-year yield and 2-year yield down were up marginally at 4.10% and 3.46%, respectively.

Dollar Index (Flat)

The dollar held steady after four days of declines — looking past a precipitous drop in Treasury yields — while the Swiss franc and Japanese yen outperformed peers amid a deepening rout in risk assets.

Asian Currencies (Down)

All the Asian currencies were trading lower against the basket of other currencies in the early trade on Friday.

Crude (Slips)

Oil prices down marginally on Friday as risk-averse sentiment pervaded global markets and investors digested fresh developments in US-Iran tensions that continue to cloud the supply outlook.

Gold (Gains)

Gold and silver rebounded on bargain-hunting on Friday after sliding to one-week lows in the previous session, with a break below key supports deepening losses as selling pressure intensified after strong U.S. jobs data curbed rate-cut bets.

Fund Flow Action

Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) continued their buying on fifth consecutive day on February 12, as they bought equities worth ₹108 crore, while Domestic Institutional Investors (DIIs) turned buyers, as they purchased equities worth over ₹276 crore.

Hope you're all set for today's trade. We wish you a profitable day ahead.
