It was a lackluster session for our markets on Friday despite stock specific moves. The Nifty closed at 5359 and Sensex at 17636. With the impending election results from UP, what effect shall it have on the market and which side will it trade today?

First a look at the international scene:

It was a lackluster session on Wall Street on Friday led by weakness in the energy sector. The Nasdaq, Dow and S&P ended lower, but S&P posted a weekly gain.  Meanwhile European markets ended mixed.
