Expect dollar to appreciate: Rajeev Malik

Volatility aside, more nominal depreciation lies in store for Asian currencies, says Rajeev Malik, CLSA.

Rajeev Malik of CLSA expects the dollar to appreciate, US bond yields to rise and eventually US policy rates to move up.

"There is no change to our assessment that it will be difficult for Asian currencies to offset the evolving global capital flows cycle. Volatility aside, more nominal depreciation lies in store for Asian currencies," Malik adds.
