Electric power transmission towers manufacturer KEC International is expected to report consolidated profit at Rs 43 crore (against Rs 44 crore YoY) and revenue at Rs 2,034 crore (Rs 2,021 crore) for July-September quarter, according to analysts polled by CNBC-TV18.
Operating profit is likely to be at Rs 171 crore (Rs 155 crore) and margin at 8.4 percent (7.7 percent) for the quarter.
Revenue may be flat led by pass through of lower commodity prices and slower execution due to monsoons. Margin may improve led by tower business in international subsidiary (SAE), contract completion; and benefits of execution of recent order wins more than compensate for losses from remaining legacy orders.
Tax cost is expected to increase leading to pressure on profit.
Recovery of Rs 500 crore retention money stuck in projects in Saudi Arabia on completion will be one of the key concerns, feel analysts. Order intake and working capital will be key factors to watch out for.
