Indraprastha Gas Ltd (IGL) on October 28 reported decline of 19.4 percent in standalone net profit at Rs 431 crore for the second quarter of fiscal year 2024-25.
The city gas distribution company had posted net profit of Rs 535 crore in the year-ago period. Net profit increased 7.4 percent sequentially as the company recorded Rs 401 crore profit in the quarter ending June 30.
During the quarter under review, the company’s revenue from operations came in at Rs 4,088 crore, gaining seven percent from Rs 3,822 crore recorded in the same period last year.
The board of directors declared interim dividend of Rs 5.50 per share.
The company’s total volume stood at 9.03 mmscmd (million metric standard cubic meters per day), reporting a growth of nine percent compared to last year.
CNG volumes showed nine percent growth year-on-year at 623.65 million scm while PNG (domestic) and PNG (industrial/ commercial) witnessed 12 percent increase and 11 percent increase in volumes on yearly basis respectively.
On October 28, shares of IGL settled at Rs 404.75 apiece on the BSE, 2.09 percent lower than the previous day's close.
