Bajaj Auto reported a standalone net profit of Rs 2,502.81 crore for the October-December quarter of the ongoing financial year 2026. This marks a 19 percent year-on-year (YoY) rise from the Rs 2,108.73 crore net profit reported in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year.
The net profit reported for Q3 FY26 however includes a one-time exceptional cost of Rs 61.32 crore to account for the impact of new labour code, which took effect last year.
The firm’s revenue from operations meanwhile grew 19 percent YoY to Rs 15,220.33 crore during the quarter under review. Notably, Bajaj Auto said that this was the first time its revenue crossed the Rs 15,000-crore mark, driven by record quarterly volumes and a richer mix.
The company had earlier reported revenue from operations at Rs 12,806.85 crore in Q3 FY25. Expenses rose 18 percent YoY to Rs 12,174.33 crore in Q3 FY26.
EBITDA jumped 22 percent to Rs 3,161 crore, and margin rose to 20.8 percent. "The quarter saw historic high retails on the back of sharp in-market execution during the festive season, while the rapid growth of the electric portfolio which contributed to 25% of domestic revenues, saw it overtake last full year's revenue in the middle of this quarter," the firm said.
Exports crossed 6 lakh-mark in quarterly volumes after 15 quarters, while sustaining its robust YoY double-digit competitive growth trajectory, Bajaj Auto said.
The firm added that domestic motorcycles turned in its biggest quarter on 125cc+ with double-digit revenue growth YoY, buoyed by sports segment. "Improved traction on the Pulsar portfolio, led by product refreshes/upgrades and amplified by impactful activation which drove quarterly retail volumes to a historic high and the competitive performance of the strategically important 125cc+ segment," it added.
Bajaj Auto's balance sheet remains healthy with surplus funds at Rs 15,000 crore, after distributing Rs 5,864 crore as dividend and infusing capital worth more than Rs 2,300 crore into its subsidiaries during this period, it added.
