Non-banking finance company Shriram City Union, part of the diversified Shriram Group, today reported a 63.6% jump in its net profit at Rs 80.38 crore for the quarter ending June 30, 2011.
The Chennai-based company posted a net profit of Rs 49.13 crore during the corresponding period last year.
For the year ended March 31, 2011, the company registered a net profit of Rs 240.67 crore, a company release said.
The total income of the company for the quarter ended June 30, 2011, soared to Rs 415.13 crore as against Rs 280.88 crore in the corresponding period a year ago.
For the year ending March 31, 2011, the total income of the company stood at Rs 1,318 crore, the statement added.
