Digital engineering firm Persistent Systems has entered into a long-term agreement with Google Cloud to expanded reach across the US, India, UK, and Australia, the company said on June 11.
“This agreement focuses on driving joint go-to-market activities and accelerating digital transformation for enterprises globally,” it said.
The company will build industry-specific solutions to drive GenAI’s adoption with the help of Google Cloud’s Gemini models and other Google technologies, according to an exchange filing.
“The agreement will enable Google Cloud and Persistent to deliver market-leading solutions that help enterprises maximize the ROI (return on investment) from their cloud investments while modernising their infrastructure and data stack,” it said.
Following the announcement, Persistent Systems rose to Rs 3,773.05 on BSE, up 0.84 percent from the previous close.
The digital engineering firm will have access to additional resources from Google Cloud to build new solutions, leading to faster time-to-market, the statement said.
The company claimed that it has investment heavily in its go-to-market initiatives and talent reskilling program to strengthen the partnership with Google Cloud.
“Our new Google Cloud strategic partnership agreement, combined with our industry-leading cloud practice and Google Cloud’s pioneering technologies, positions us to set new benchmarks for what can be achieved through cloud, data and analytics, and AI,” Persistent chief executive officer and executive director Sandeep Kalra said.
The partnership agreement would help these organisations accelerate their cloud- and AI-driven transformations with leading technology from Google Cloud and thousands of specialised and certified experts from Persistent, said Kevin Ichhpurani, corporate vice president, global ecosystem and channels, Google Cloud.
