HCL Tech unit HCL Software appoints Vikrant Chowdhary as senior VP and India head

Chowdhary has previously held leadership roles at top global companies, including Salesforce, SAP, Teradata, IBM, and various startups.

HCL Software, an enterprise software products unit of HCL Tech, on November 18 announced the appointment of Vikrant Chowdhary as senior vice-president and country head for India, a company statement said.

Chowdhary will be responsible for HCLSoftware’s regional business for growth and innovation across critical sectors, including Enterprise, BFSI, and government segments.

“Chowdary will play a key role in leading HCLSoftware’s Make in India commitment of being the largest India-based global enterprise software products company,” according to the statement.

Chowdhary, who will be based in the Delhi NCR region, will bring over 27 years of leadership experience to HCLSoftware. He has a ‘proven’ track record of ‘success’ in scaling technology-driven businesses, the statmenet added.

The company said Chowdhary’s expertise across Go-to-Market (GTM) strategy, team leadership, and technology for enterprise & financial services are pivotal for HCLSoftware’s strategic expansion in India’s growth market.

Chowdhary has previously held leadership roles at top global companies, including Salesforce, SAP, Teradata, IBM, and various startups.

Most recently, he served as the first chief growth officer at CleverTap.

Chowdhary also holds a post-graduate in Industrial Management from the Indian Institute of Management, Mumbai.
