Bafna Pharmaceuticals gets nod from Ghana for Omeran-20

Bafna Pharmaceuticals has received approval from Ghana to market Omeran-20 capsules used for the treatment of reflux oesophagitis among others.

    Bafna Pharmaceuticals has received approval from Ghana to market Omeran-20 capsules used for the treatment of reflux oesophagitis among others. The city-based firm said the drug contains generic salt- Omeprazole and its international classification of diseases is Omeprazole.


    "With this, Bafna now has 15 number of formulation approvals from Ghana Food and Drug Administration.", the company said in a BSE filing.


    "This is a major milestone for Bafna Pharmaceuticals. It will strengthen our market in Ghana and helps us in penetrating in our target market segment," Bafna CMD Mahaveer Bafna said.


    Shares of the company were trading at Rs 37.50 apiece, down by 0.27 percent over their previous close in the afternoon trade on the BSE.
