Info Edge rises 2% on acquisition of Makesense Tech

Info Edge India, a promoter of Naukri.com, 99acres.com and jeevansathi.com, advanced 2 percent on Friday as the company acquired Makesense Technologies Private limited for about Rs 8 crore.

Info Edge India, a promoter of Naukri.com, 99acres.com and jeevansathi.com, advanced 2 percent on Friday as the company acquired Makesense Technologies Private limited for about Rs 8 crore.

"MakeSense Technologies has developed proprietary software for semantic search which will augment search capabilities for both recruiters & job seekers, principally on naukri.com," the company said in its release sent to exchanges.

At 15:25 hours IST, shares climbed 1.91 percent to Rs 355 on Bombay Stock Exchange. Market capitalisation of the company currently stands at Rs 3,875.93 crore.
