Corporates continue to be under the CBI scanner. Tata Sons' director Krishna Kumar questioned by the Central Bureau of Investigation in the 2G scam on the back of reports that allege the Tatas funded Unitech's 2G licence.
Unitech MD Sanjay Chandra was reportedly at the CBI headquarters to be interrogated over his role in a case that charges his firm was favoured by a former telecoms minister when mobile phone licences were issued in 2008.
Remember, Unitech had sold 60% stake in its telecom venture to Norway's Telenor for Rs 6,100 crore.
In a statement Chandra had said, "All the nine telecom companies, who received the licenses, are being questioned by the agencies and it is not specific to any one company."
