Adidas plans to expand its retail reach in India by opening 125 new exclusive stores by the end of this year, reports The Economic Times.
"Adidas currently has 750 exclusive franchisee-owned stores in India. We plan to add 125 new ones this year," Adidas India Managing Director Andreas Gellner told, the report adds.
He said the brand is sold in 220 cities and towns in the country and the new outlets will strengthen its presence. To leverage from the ongoing cricket fever, the company has launched a new multi-media campaign 'Bring it on'.
It features some leading names of the sport such as Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag of India.
