Hero MotoCorp sells 1,000 Harley-Davidson X440 within days of delivery commencement

The Harley-Davidson X440 made its Indian debut early this July and has been dominating the premium segment consumer space in the country. Within a month of its showcase, it reported over 25,000 bookings, as per the company.

Leading global manufacturer of motorcycles and scooters Hero MotoCorp has already sold 1,000 Harley-Davidson X440 across 100 dealerships, the company stated in an exchange filing on October 17. The nationwide deliveries of the motorcycles kicked off on October 15.

"The mega deliveries of Harley-Davidson X440 motorcycles were conducted across 100 dealerships, including Harley-Davidson and select Hero MotoCorp outlets in different parts of the country," the company said in its statement.

It is to be noted that the Harley-Davidson X440 is being manufactured at the company's Neemrana manufacturing facility - Garden Factory - in Rajasthan, according to the company.

Expressing his delight on the occasion, Niranjan Gupta, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Hero MotoCorp, noted, “We were delighted to see the smiles and cheer from our customers, as we started deliveries on the first day of the festive season". "It will be our endeavour to complete all deliveries over the next four to five months".

The CEO also noted that the company's supply chain is currently boosting its capacity, in a bid "to serve every single customer in India who wants to own a Harley Davidson", and cut down on the waiting period.

Harley-Davidson X440 is currently available in three variants – Denim, Vivid, and S - at a price of Rs 2,39,500, Rs 2,59,500, and Rs  2,79,500, respectively.

Customers who are interested in taking a test ride on the Harley-Davidson X440 can walk into any Harley-Davidson dealership. Those wanting to book the vehicle can also visit any of these dealerships and select Hero MotoCorp outlets across the country.
