Going by some reports, footballer Cristiano Ronaldo may tie the knot soon with his long-time girlfriend and now fiancé Georgina Rodriguez. A loved couple, they have five kids together and just a few months back, in August 2025, the couple had announced they were engaged. In a post, Georgina had flaunted her big oval-shaped ring that was reported to be anywhere between $1.5 million and $5 million.
Going by the buzz around the venue of the wedding, it may happen in Funchal Cathedral, also known as Se Cathedral de Nossa Senhora da Assuncao. Now if this where the wedding actually happens, then the place will hold a lot of significance.
A: Some reports suggest that Ronaldo was born in a hospital that is only two miles away from this church.
B: At some distance from the cathedral, there's also Nacional da Madeira field from where the footballer had kickstarted his career.
C: Funchal Cathedra was established in 1514 and it is the oldest religious building on Madeira.

The wedding may happen right after the World Cup and another speculation is that it will footballer's last major international event. Although there's no confirmation on the same.
In the past, Ronaldo had always maintained that he will get married whenever he and his girlfriend feels that the moment is appropriate. He had shared that Georgina understood that whenever they feel the 'connection', they would certainly marry each other.
