TNUSRB has announced 3644 vacancies for Police Constable, Jail Warder, and Fireman posts. The application process starts on 22 August 2025 at tnusrb.tn.gov.in and will close on 21 September 2025.

The Tamil Nadu Uniformed Services Recruitment Board (TNUSRB) has released the notification for the recruitment of Police Constable, Jail Warder, and Fireman posts in Tamil Nadu. A total of 3644 vacancies will be filled through this recruitment drive.

TNUSRB Police Constable Vacancy 2025

The recruitment is being carried out for different departments in the state. The post wise and department wise distribution of vacancies is as follows:

  • Police Constable (Grade II) – 2833 posts
  • Jail Warder (Grade II) – Prison and Correctional Department – 180 posts (142 male, 38 female)
  • Fireman – Fire and Rescue Services – 631 posts

This brings the total vacancies to 3644.

Application Fee

Candidates applying for these posts must pay an application fee of Rs 250. The payment can be made online using debit card, credit card, or net banking. Applications submitted without the fee payment will not be accepted.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must check the required educational qualifications and age limits as specified in the official notification. Only candidates who fulfil these conditions will be considered for the recruitment process.

Selection Process

The selection process for TNUSRB Police Constable Recruitment 2025 will be conducted in multiple stages. These include:

  • Written Examination (Part II Main Written Examination)
  • Physical Measurement Test (PMT)
  • Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
  • Endurance Test
  • Document Verification

TNUSRB PC Exam Pattern 2025

The exam will be OMR based and objective in nature. It will have two papers.

  • Paper 1 (Tamil Language Test): This paper will have 80 questions carrying 80 marks. It is qualifying in nature, and candidates must score at least 40% to pass.
  • Paper 2 (General Knowledge and Psychology): This paper will have 70 questions for 70 marks.

The duration of each paper will be 80 minutes.

Application Process

The application form will be available online from 22 August 2025 at tnusrb.tn.gov.in. Candidates are advised to keep their necessary documents ready while filling the form. The direct application link will remain active until 21 September 2025.
