The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has announced the launch of the AADARSH (Advanced and Dependable Assessment & Resourceful Secured Hub) Pariksha Kendra (APK) initiative, aimed at conducting secure and standardised computer-based tests (CBTs) across the country.
The announcement was made by SSC Chairman Shri S. Gopalakrishnan at a media briefing attended by representatives from EdCIL, RailTel, C-DAC and CBSE. The Commission stated that the initiative is part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen the examination process and address concerns raised over issues such as alleged paper leaks, delays in results and technical glitches.
Under the APK initiative, about 8,000 seats will be available at newly developed ISO-certified examination centres. These centres will feature AI enabled CCTV surveillance with zero blind spots, biometric verification, baggage counters, air conditioned halls, secured printing facilities, and on-site technical support. All centres will be monitored through a central command room to ensure tamper proof examinations.
The SSC said that over 90% of candidates will be allotted a test centre from among the three options they select during application. The remaining candidates will be assigned centres within 200 km of their home location. Standardised stationery will be provided at all centres to maintain uniformity.
In addition to the APK rollout, the Commission announced the launch of an official SSC YouTube channel to share updates and announcements, and a dedicated grievance hub to address candidate issues in a timely manner. The grievance hub is expected to be operational from the next examination cycle.
