SSC JE Vacancies 2024: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has announced the final vacancy list for the Junior Engineer (Civil, Mechanical & Electrical) Examination, 2024. Candidates can access detailed notifications on the official SSC website, ssc.gov.in.

A total of 1701 positions are available across various departments and engineering disciplines. Here's a breakdown of the category-wise distribution:

• Scheduled Caste (SC): 322
• Scheduled Tribe (ST): 165
• Other Backward Classes (OBC): 480
• Economically Weaker Section (EWS): 171
• Unreserved (UR): 563

Simultaneously, the SSC has opened the application window for candidates to submit their Option-cum-Preference form. This form allows candidates who appeared for Paper-II to express their preferences for specific posts and organizations within the available vacancies.

The deadline to submit the Option-cum-Preference form is December 13, 2024. Candidates can access the form through their login page on the SSC website under the "My Application" tab. Failing to submit the form during this window will result in exclusion from the final merit list and selection process.

SSC JE Paper-II

The Paper-II exam, conducted on November 6th, 2024, was a Computer Based Test (CBT) lasting 2 hours. It consisted of 100 questions carrying a total of 300 marks. Each wrong answer incurred a penalty of 0.25 marks.
