RRB ALP CBAT Cutoff 2025

The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has declared the results for the Computer-Based Aptitude Test (CBAT) for the Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) Recruitment 2024. Along with the results, the board has released the category-wise cut-off marks, which have revealed some unexpected and surprising trends across various RRB zones, making the cut-off the central point of discussion this year.

Candidates who appeared for the CBAT round, held between July 15 and August 31, 2025, can now check their results and qualification status on the official websites of their respective RRBs.

Cut-Off Surprise: EWS Category Creates a Stir

The most talked-about aspect of this result announcement is the unexpected pattern in the cut-off marks for the Economically Weaker Section (EWS). In a significant deviation from the norm, the EWS cut-off in several RRBs has fallen below that of the SC, ST, and OBC categories.

A prime example is RRB Ajmer. The cut-off data shows:

  • General: 80.11157
  • OBC: 77.5851
  • SC: 74.65056
  • ST: 70.35071
  • EWS: 68.55071

Here, the EWS cut-off is not only the lowest but is significantly lower than even the ST category. A similar trend is observed in other RRBs, where the EWS cut-off has remained below the OBC category.

Category-Wise Cut-Off: A Quick Look at Other RRBs

OBC: 79.55381

EWS: 78.45143

SC: 70.78809
