The Madhya Pradesh Staff Selection Board (MPESB) is set to close the online application window for 500 Sub-Inspector and Subedar posts today, November 10, 2025. This is the final call for all aspiring candidates to submit their applications on the official website, esb.mp.gov.in.

This recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 500 vacancies within the state police department. The post-wise breakdown includes 472 positions for Sub-Inspector and 28 for Subedar. The written examination for these posts is scheduled to begin on 9th January 2026.

Prospective applicants must ensure they meet the following eligibility requirements before proceeding:

Educational Qualification: Candidates must possess a Graduation degree in any discipline from a university recognized by the Government of India.

Age Limit: The minimum age to apply is 18 years, and the maximum age is 33 years as of the cutoff date. Age relaxation will be applicable for candidates belonging to reserved categories as per government rules.

Candidates are strongly advised to consult the official notification on the MPESB website for detailed information on eligibility, including domicile requirements and physical standards.

Selection Process

The selection of candidates will be a rigorous, multi-stage process comprising:

  • Preliminary Examination: This is a compulsory screening test for all applicants. The exam will feature multiple-choice questions, be of 100 marks, and have a duration of two hours. There will be no negative marking in the prelims.
  • Main Written Examination & Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Only candidates who qualify in the preliminary exam will be eligible for the Mains and the PET.
  • Interview: The final stage will be a personal interview for candidates who successfully clear the Mains and PET. It is mandatory to secure a minimum of 30% marks in the PET to be called for the interview.

With the deadline looming, follow these steps to complete your application:

Step 1. Visit the official MPESB portal: esb.mp.gov.in.
Step 2. On the homepage, locate and click on the "MP Police SI Recruitment 2025" application link.
Step 3. Complete the one-time registration process to generate your credentials.
Step 4. Log in using your registration ID and password to access the detailed application form.
Step 5. Carefully fill in all required details, upload necessary documents (photograph, signature), and review the form thoroughly.
Step 6. Pay the requisite application fee online.
Step 7. Crucially, submit the form and download the confirmation page. Keep a printout for all future reference.

The board has provided a correction window for applicants who have already registered. From October 27, 2025, to November 15, 2025, candidates can log in to correct any inadvertent errors in their submitted application forms.
