The Bihar Staff Selection Commission (BSSC) has announced that the application process for the 2nd Inter-Level Vacancy will begin from October 15, 2025. A total of 23,175 vacancies will be filled through this recruitment drive, making it one of the largest state-level recruitment opportunities for intermediate pass candidates this year.

This recruitment cycle, under Advertisement No. 02/2023, initially featured 12,199 posts. In a major boost for aspirants, the BSSC has increased the vacancy count by 10,976 new posts, bringing the final tally to 23,175.

The commission has provided crucial clarification regarding the application process:

New Candidates: Aspirants who did not apply during the previous application window (which closed in November 2023) can now submit their applications starting October 15.

Previously Applied Candidates: Candidates who have already applied for the BSSC 2nd Inter Level recruitment earlier do not need to re-apply. Their existing applications will be automatically considered for all the newly added posts as well. They will be competitive for the entire pool of 23,175 vacancies.

Eligibility & Selection Process

Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed the 12th (Intermediate) examination from a recognized board. For certain posts, typing skills on a computer are also required.

Selection Stages: The selection of candidates will be a three-tier process:

• Preliminary Written Examination (Objective Type)
• Mains Examination
• Skill Test

Prelims Exam Pattern: The preliminary exam will be an objective-type test with 150 questions from General Studies, General Science, Mathematics, and Mental Ability.

Exam Duration: 2 hours and 15 minutes.

Marking Scheme: There will be a provision for negative marking, with one mark deducted for every wrong answer.

Qualifying Marks:

• General Category: 40%
• Backward Class (BC): 36.5%
• Extremely Backward Class (EBC): 34%
• SC/ST: 32%

The application fee for all candidate categories is a uniform Rs. 100.
