Deepti Sadhwani, who played Aradhana Sharma in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, has stunned fans with her drastic weight loss. In a chat with ETimes last year, she revealed dropping 17 kg in just 6 months in a balanced and sustainable way, not resorting to any shortcuts.

While her journey to fitness has been nothing short of impressive, the actress confessed going through difficult days, but kept the faith. She said, “It (losing weight) wasn't easy. There were days I wanted to give up, but I reminded myself that every small step matters. Progress was slow but steady, and that's where the magic lies.”
The actress clarified there was no quick fix involved — no extreme diet, workouts, or weight loss medication. Instead, she chose to eliminate unhealthy foods, keep a track of her calorie count, and give herself the flexibility of a cheat day.
She said, “I eliminated sugar, processed foods, and preservatives while adopting a gluten-free diet. Intermittent fasting, strictly 16 hours a day, became my mantra, along with mindful calorie tracking. My approach was rooted in balance, even allowing for an occasional cheat day.”
While many opt for strenuous workouts at the gym lasting hours, Deepti picked up a variety of fitness routines to keep herself fit. She said, “I incorporated aerial yoga, boxing, and swimming into my regimen, emphasising consistency over intensity.”

This helped her not just physically but also mentally. “This diverse approach not only transformed my physique but also boosted my mental clarity and energy... What kept me going was the vision of becoming the best version of myself, not just for the looks but for my health and happiness,” she shared.
Several celebrities have been in the news this year for their stunning weight loss transformation. Some of the popular names include Karan Johar, Kapil Sharma, Ram Kapoor, Sarfaraz Khan, among others. Many of them followed intermittent fasting with different time windows for eating.
