Infused water, also known as fruit-infused water or detox water is water that has been infused with fruits, vegetables, herbs, or other natural ingredients to add flavour and nutrients. It is often promoted for its health benefits, including detoxification and improved metabolism.

Infused water is a popular trend in summer because it offers a tasty and refreshing alternative to plain water, making it easier to stay hydrated. Says Dr G. Sushma Kumari, Clinical Dietician at CARE Hospitals, Banjara Hills in Hyderabad, “Common problems that can be addressed by drinking infused water include dehydration, poor water intake habits, and the desire for a more enjoyable way to consume water. However, it's important to note that while infused water can contribute to hydration and nutrient intake, it should not replace the consumption of plain water entirely. Additionally, individual reactions to infused water may vary, and it's essential to monitor sugar intake if that is a concern.”
