Begin with Jeera (Cumin) Water:

Soak 1 tsp of cumin seeds in a glass of water overnight and drink it first thing in the morning before breakfast. This is a great way to improve digestion, reduce bloating, and get your metabolism going. This is a traditional remedy and is widely recommended in Ayurveda, especially for weight management.

Use Apple Cider Vinegar Before Your Meal

Dilute 1 tablespoon of raw, unfiltered apple cider vinegar in a glass of water, and drink it about 15–20 minutes before your meal. This can help with appetite control, stabilize blood sugar, and promote fat breakdown. Use it in moderation; I recommend it only once a day.

Add Ginger to Your Tea or Meals

Ginger has thermogenic properties, meaning it slightly increases your body temperature, allowing you to burn calories in a greater capacity. Ginger also improves digestion and may help with appetite suppression. Add some fresh grated ginger to your soup and salads or sip ginger tea for an increase in metabolism.

Sprinkle Cinnamon on Your Foods

Cinnamon can help stabilize blood sugar levels and reduce sugar cravings. Accessorize your coffee, oats, smoothies, or curries with a pinch of cinnamon. Dr. Sethi points out, "Cinnamon helps slow down the digestion of carbohydrates and therefore helps the body release energy steadily, promoting fat loss."

Munch on Soaked Fenugreek Seeds

Soak 1 tsp of fenugreek (methi) seeds overnight and chew them the next morning. These fiber-rich seeds will swell up in your stomach to make you feel fuller for longer naturally reducing your caloric intake throughout the day.

Swap Regular Tea for Green Tea

Green tea is high in catechins (natural antioxidants) that help with fat oxidation. Research suggests, drinking 2-3 cups a day may slightly increase your fat oxidation levels. Be sure to avoid adding sugar, add a squeeze of lemon to it to detoxify at the same time.

Use Black Pepper for Fat Burning

Piperine, a compound in black pepper, inhibits fat cell formation and increases the bioavailability of nutrients by improving digestion. Sprinkle freshly cracked black pepper over salads, soups, and warm lemon water to help with fat burning and absorb more nutrients.

Use Coconut Oil for Cooking but in Small Amounts

Coconut oil has medium-chain triglycerides (MCT's), which is a unique fat that is burned much quicker than other oils and is beneficial in adding to satiety. Replace your normal cooking oil (for frying, etc.) with a smaller quantity of virgin coconut oil for the natural weight loss benefits.
