A throwback video featuring the late Rishi Kapoor interacting with the press has gone viral on social media.

Rishi Kapoor was undoubtedly one of Bollywood's finest talents, renowned for his remarkable performances in films such as Chandni, Amar Akbar Anthony, Saajan Ka Ghar, and Damini. A celebrated figure in the industry, he was also a fantastic co-actor. In a nostalgic video from one of his media interactions, he spoke highly of fellow actor Shah Rukh Khan, showcasing his appreciation for his fellow actors.

A throwback video featuring the late Rishi Kapoor interacting with the press has gone viral on social media. In the clip, a journalist asks him about his initial reaction upon seeing his then co-star Shah Rukh Khan in Deewana, the film that marked Shah Rukh's Bollywood debut, and how he perceived him as an actor. To this, Rishi Kapoor smilingly replied, "Well, he was always a very spirited boy, always a very joshed up actor, and he came from television and I remember him telling me that on his very on-set he had the opportunity of working with three actors that he admired. He got a chance to work with Naseer(Naseeruddin Shah) in one film, Nana (Nana Patekar) in one film and me in one film."

He went on to express how privileged he felt that Shah Rukh included him among his favourite actors. "As a youngster and first beginner in that film, he was very respectful and very good to speak to, he wad always full of energy. I remember those days and I have a very funny anecdote which will take a long time but I have mentioned it in my book so please read it in that book," he concluded.

Before his iconic ascent in Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan made his mark on television screens in the 1980s. His debut into the film industry came in 1992 with the romantic drama Deewana, where he played a supporting role alongside the legendary Rishi Kapoor and the talented Divya Bharti. Interestingly, Rishi Kapoor and Shah Rukh Khan later reunited on screen for the poignant film Jab Tak Hai Jaan.

The actor-turned-author, Rishi Kapoor also wrote his autobiography "Khullam Khulla," which offers an intimate look into his life, career, and personal struggles. From his childhood in the shadow of his legendary father, Raj Kapoor, to his experiences in the film industry, Rishi Kapoor shares his honest thoughts on everything from his career successes and failures to his personal relationships and challenges.

The celebrated actor passed away on April 30, 2020, after a courageous battle with cancer. His passing left a void in the hearts of fans and colleagues alike.
