Bollywood superstar Sunny Deol, who is busy promoting his latest film, Jaat, has been in the entertainment industry for over four decades. The actor has faced several controversies and rumors over the years.

Sunny Deol was once rumored to be in a relationship with Dimple Kapadia. The duo never confirmed their alleged affair, but their fans have always believed the rumors, even today.

However, Sunny and Dimple’s 1993 film Gunaah’s co-star Sujata Mehta added to the speculations, claiming that the duo had a strong connection both on-screen and off-screen.

During a throwback interview with Siddharth Kannan, Sujata said, “I did Gunaah with them. They had a lovely chemistry, and both of them were close to me. There was nothing to hide since we were working together.”

The actress continued, “In our profession, I feel everything is very professional. Sab log apna kaam karte hai, nikalte hai (everyone does their work and return to their home).” Gunaah ke set pe jab bhi hum log shoot pe gaye, they had a lovely chemistry on-screen and off-screen.”

Sijata further explained that Sunny and Dimple had a strong connection, with no secrets about their relationship. They worked professionally on set, but their chemistry was undeniable.

She said, “They were destined to be together.”

Sunny Deol and Dimple Kapadia shared the screen for the first time in 1984 for the film Manzil Manzil. They went on to star together in Arjun (1985), Aag Ka Gola (1989) and Narsimha (1991).

A video of Sunny Deol and Dimple Kapadia surfaced on social media in 2017, where they can be seen holding hands while enjoying their vacation in Monaco. The video also raised questions about whether they had been dating despite being married to their respective partners.

Additionally, there had been rumours that they had been dating each other for decades despite Sunny being married to Pooja Deol.

Sunny Deol and Dimple Kapadia’s marriages

Despite the dating rumors, Sunny Deol and Dimple Kapadia opted not to make their alleged relationship official and marry someone else. Sunny tied the knot with Pooja Deol in 1984 and share two sons, Karan and Rajvir.

Meanwhile, Dimple got married to Rajesh Khanna in March 1973 and had two daughters, Twinkle Khanna and Rinke Khanna. However, Dimple and Rajesh parted ways in 1982.

Dimple Khanna has previously reflected on her divorce and that her marriage had been unhappy, marked by inequality and her husband's infidelity, which had drained the life and happiness from their home, rendering the marriage a sham.
