Tamil comedian and actress Bindu Ghosh, best known for comic roles, reportedly died on Sunday, March 16. She was 76 years old. The actress was suffering from a prolonged illness and took her last breath at a hospital in Chennai.
According to India Today, the family members of Bindu Ghosh confirmed the reports of her death. The funeral service of the late veteran actress will be held on Monday. Several celebrities from the Indian film industry extended their condolences following her death.
Bindu Ghosh was reportedly suffering from various age-related health issues and was admitted to the hospital. She had undergone a heart surgery. Additionally, she was struggling financially and struggled to cover her medical and food expenses.
In a previous interview, she revealed that her eldest son had abandoned her due to his inability to care for her. Although her younger son attempted to care for her, he was constrained by limited financial resources.
Bindu had spoken about her failing health and financial struggles in the same interview. Fortunately, she received support from several actors, including Bala, who donated Rs 80,000 for her medical expenses and promised to cover all her future expenditures.

Additionally, actors including Richard and Ramalingam also provided financial assistance to help her through this difficult time.
Bindu Ghosh was a popular comedian who has starred in many films with famous actors like Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan. She made her acting debut with the film Kalathur Kannamma, which was also Kamal Haasan's first movie.
Some of her famous films include Kozhi Koovuthu, Mangamma Sabatham, and Dowry Kalyanam.
