Varun who starred alongside Kiara in JugJugg Jeeyo had a photoshoot during the promotions. A viral video clip showed Varun planting an impromptu kiss on Kiara's cheek, which appeared to take her by surprise. Varun clarified the situation, saying, "I'm glad you asked me this. It was planned." He explained that the kiss was orchestrated for a digital cover shoot that required movement and action. Both he and Kiara posted the clip, and Kiara's reaction was part of her acting skills. "She's a good actress. It was completely planned. I'll admit when things weren't planned," he remarked.
Another incident involved Varun pushing Kiara into a pool despite her protests. Varun admitted, "That I did on purpose. It was all in good fun. It wasn't planned. That's just my nature, I guess," he reacted.
Regarding Alia Bhatt, Varun faced criticism for inappropriately touching her belly during a live event. Addressing the controversy, he stated, "I did it in fun. It wasn't flirting. We're friends."
In the same podcast, Varun defended his playful behaviour, saying, "Chhedam-chhaadi, if it is done in a happy space, a good space, whether it is a man or a woman... I have fun with my male co-stars as well, but nobody mentions that."
On the work front, Varun Dhawan is gearing up for the release of Baby John, set to release on December 26. Directed by Kalees and produced by Atlee, the movie features Keerthy Suresh, Wamiqa Gabbi, Sanya Malhotra, and Jackie Shroff, with Salman Khan making a cameo appearance.
