Entrepreneur Upasana Kamineni Konidela has just started a new business with her mother-in-law, Surekha Konidela. Upasana and Surekha have collaborated with Athamma's Kitchen to bring mango pickles with their family recipe.
Upasana took to her Instagram and shared a video of the preparation of the pickles with her family. Alongside the video, she wrote in the caption, “Packing love and tradition from our home and sending it to you all. At @athammaskitchen, we bring the authentic Teluginti Avakaya that’s not just any other pickle.”
The video shows Upasana along with her entire family and the team getting involved in the pickle-making process, fusing the recipe with different spices, blending with love to enhance the overall taste of a pickle.
The video also showed Ram Charan standing and watching her family making the pickle, when Upasana said, “your mom and nannamma are fighting.” The video introduces, “Avakay - the mango pickle greets us during the summer. It’s a blend of happiness, taste and traditions.”
Surekha revealed in the video, “The recipe has been passed down from my grandmothers.” She added, “Preparing and serving this delicacy is a family tradition. It’s just too good when it’s fresh.”
The voice over said, “Its taste varies from person to person. It tastes great when one does it to serve. It tastes ‘meh’ when one does it just for the sake of it.”
The video concluded with Upasana and Ram Charan enjoying the freshly made mango pickle. He also fed the pickle to his mom with his hands.
Upasana Kamineni Konidela's mother-in-law draws inspiration from years of cooking for her family and now wants to spread that warmth to fellow food enthusiasts through Athamma's Kitchen, which was launched on Surekha’s birthday.
