Tom Holland recently discussed his decision to avoid red carpet events with girlfriend Zendaya, highlighting his preference for allowing her to shine on her own. In a recent interview, the actor explained that he values Zendaya's individual success and believes she deserves to be celebrated without the added pressure of always being in the spotlight together.

In an interview with Men’s Health for their January-February 2025 issue, the Spider-Man star explained, “Because it’s not my moment, it’s her moment, and if we go together, it’s about us."

The couple, both 28, officially confirmed their relationship in 2021 and have kept their public appearances to a minimum. Their most recent red carpet appearance together was at the premiere of Spider-Man: No Way Home in 2021. While Holland consistently supports Zendaya, he prefers to do so behind the scenes, allowing her to enjoy the spotlight on her own.

The actor also shared a humorous story from their time in Cornwall, England, when a family gathering unexpectedly became a comedic moment. Holland recalled how his younger cousin asked him to perform a backflip, with Zendaya playfully questioning if he was still able to do it. The lighthearted exchange added a fun twist to their family time.

Tom mentioned, "So I went outside and I was getting ready, and I was thinking, I can do this. I can totally do this," Holland shared. “I actually did land it, but I pulled every muscle in my stomach. For weeks, I could not laugh because my stomach was so sore."

On the work front, Tom Holland is preparing to reprise his role as Peter Parker, with the next Spider-Man film set to begin production this summer and scheduled for a 2026 release. In addition, Holland and Zendaya are reportedly set to star in Christopher Nolan’s highly anticipated adaptation of The Odyssey. Although details of the project are being kept under wraps, Holland described his meeting with Nolan as "awesome" and expressed his excitement about being involved in such a major project.

Reflecting on his relationship with Zendaya in an earlier interview, Holland described her as “the best thing that’s ever happened to me." He also acknowledged how their shared experiences in the spotlight have strengthened their bond. “It’s about being a little bit more organised, knowing where you want to go," he said, noting they’ve found ways to enjoy privacy while still appreciating their fans’ support.
