Tamil actor Mansoor Ali Khan's son, Ali Khan Tughlaq, was arrested in connection with a drug trafficking case. According to reports, he was arrested by the Thirumangalam Police on Wednesday morning, just a day after being questioned by the police about his involvement in the case. It is alleged that Ali Khan Tughlaq played a role in the illegal drug trade.
This arrest is part of an ongoing investigation into the drug trafficking network, and it is not the first one. So far, 10 people have been arrested, including college students, in connection to the case. Previously, individuals named Seyad Saki, Mohammed Riyas Ali, and Faisal Ahmed were detained. Ali Khan Tughlaq was arrested along with three others, and they are all currently in police custody. Investigations into the case are still ongoing.
Earlier this year, Mansoor Ali Khan, the actor’s father, had also made headlines for controversial remarks about actress Trisha. A video surfaced on social media in which Khan spoke inappropriately about his experience working with Trisha. He mentioned that he expected to have a bedroom scene with her, similar to scenes he had done with other actresses in the past. His comments were widely condemned, with Trisha herself calling them "sexist, disrespectful, misogynistic, and repulsive." She stated that she would never work with someone like Mansoor Ali Khan again and criticized his behavior for bringing shame to humanity.
