Actress Tabu has recently been in the spotlight following reports that attributed controversial statements to her. In response, her team has issued an official statement rebuking the offensive articles and clarifying that she did not make such comments.

Several news websites and social media handles published reports mentioning Tabu's views on marriage. They claim that the actress has said “she is not interested in marriage and only wants a man to sleep in bed with." However, Tabu's team has clarified that the actress had said no such thing and the claims are false.

The official statement issued by her team stated, “STOP PRESS! There are several websites and social media handles that have falsely attributed certain undignified statements to Tabu. We would like to clarify that she never made these quotes, and it is a serious breach of ethics to mislead the audience."

The team also called for an apology and requested the removal of the misleading quote. "We demand that these websites remove the fabricated quotes immediately and issue a formal apology for their actions – Issued by Tabu’s Management Team," the statement concluded.

Meanwhile on the work front, Tabu is currently busy filming for Bhooth Bangla, in which she will reunite with Akshay Kumar on screen after 25 years. It also features Paresh Rawal and is helmed by Priyadarshan. She also received much acclaim for her performance in the latest web series Dune: Prophecy.
