Actress Sumona Chakravarti, who played the role of comedian Kapil Sharma’s wife in ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’, has reunited with him. This time it is for an ad. Sumona and Kapil along with Kiku Sharda aka Bumper also feature in a new ad of an oil.
It is shown that Sumona has a headache but Kapil Sharma, who plays her husband in the ad, says ‘wahan toh khali hai.’ Their fun banter continues.
Sharing the ad, Sumona wrote: “3...2...1 It’s here. We’re super excited to present to you our newest collab with Navratna! It has been a great joyride, full of fun, laughter and love.”
Sumona has been posting photos of her yoga pics. Sharing this pic, she had written: “Work in Progress”
This time both Bharti Singh and Sumona are not part of 'The Great India Kapil Show.'
Sumona and Kapil have played an onscreen couple for many years on the hit reality shows ‘Comedy Nights With Kapil’ and ‘The Kapil Sharma Show.’
Sumona has taken a break from the show and has not returned to the new season ‘The Great India Kapil Show’ which is streaming on Netflix. Though Kapil has reunited with his friend-turned-foe-turned-friend again Sunil Grover but Sumona is MIA.
She keeps posting videos of her work regime and travel plans but hasn’t spoken much about her return to the show.
From June 2013- January 2016, Sumona was seen in the role of Manju Sharma, Kappu’s wife. Later she was again seen playing the role of Sarla Gulati who is in love with Kapil Sharma aka Kappu. Next in 2018, she played the role of Bhuri in the show when it returned after a break.
She was also seen in 'Bade Achhe Lagte Hain' and played the role of Ram Kapoor's sister.
