Actor and philanthropist Sonu Sood has responded to the online backlash after a video of him riding a motorcycle without a helmet went viral. The clip, filmed in Spiti Valley, Himachal Pradesh, showed Sood riding shirtless and without any protective gear, drawing strong reactions from social media users.

Many criticized the actor for appearing to ignore road safety rules, especially since he has previously encouraged people to wear helmets and follow safe riding practices.

Reacting to the criticism, Sonu Sood addressed the controversy on social media. In a post on X (formerly known as Twitter), he explained the situation, writing:

“Safety First. We always abide by the laws, our clip without the helmet was a part of our script. So kindly ignore. RIDE SAFE. RIDE SMART. ALWAYS WEAR A HELMET.”

His post included several helmet emojis and served as a clear reminder to his fans and followers about the importance of road safety. He emphasized that the helmetless scene was part of a planned script and not a reflection of his real-life behavior or message.

The viral video, which was originally posted by the Instagram account ‘Ride With Victor,’ showed Sood leading a group of bikers through a snow-covered route in the scenic valley. While other clips from the shoot show him wearing a helmet, this particular video caused concern among viewers who felt it sent the wrong message.

Supporters praised him for clarifying the issue and continuing to promote safety, but some users still expressed disappointment, saying public figures must always set a good example—scripted or not.
