After nearly two months of being locked out, she updated her nearly 7 million followers with the news.

Renowned playback singer Shreya Ghoshal announced on Sunday that she has successfully recovered her X (formerly Twitter) account, which had been compromised in February.

After nearly two months of being locked out, she updated her nearly 7 million followers with the news. "I am back!! I will be talking and writing here often.. Yes, my X account has been in trouble as it got hacked in February. Now I have finally had the help from the @X team after a lot of struggles in establishing proper communication. All is well!! Now I am here," she wrote on X.

In her recent post, Shreya Ghoshal cautioned fans to stay alert for suspicious ads circulating online, featuring bizarre headlines and AI-generated images falsely linked to her. "These are click baits, which lead to spam / fraudulent links. Please keep reporting these ads. I have no power in putting them down. I have tried my best,” she said.

The 41-year-old singer also called on the X platform to take necessary action against these misleading advertisements. "These are X ad regulations, which allow such ads to run. Hope they solve these matters soon." Last month, Ghoshal in an Instagram post said her X account was hacked on February 13 and she has been trying to get it restored ever since.

Shreya Ghoshal had expressed her frustration over the lack of support from the X team, stating that despite all her efforts to reach out, she received nothing more than a few auto-generated responses. She had also cautioned her followers against clicking on any links or believing messages from the compromised account, warning that they were spam and phishing attempts. Ghoshal assured fans that she would personally share a video update if and when the account was safely recovered.
