Love in Vietnam to release in September

On September 12, the eagerly awaited romantic drama Love in Vietnam will hit theatres, marking the first-ever occurrence of an intriguing Indo-Vietnamese collaboration in Hindi cinema.

The movie stars Avneet Kaur, who is most known for her performance in Tiku Weds Sheru, and Shantanu Maheshwari, who is well-known for his role in Gangubai Kathiawadi.

Inspired by the popular book Madonna in a Fur Coat, Rahhat Shah Kazmi's film Love in Vietnam is a touching story of love. According to a press release, the project also stars Kha Ngan, a well-known Vietnamese actress who is making her Bollywood debut, adding an intriguing international element to the cast.

According to the official logline of the movie, the story follows a young man and a girl as they negotiate the difficulties of friendship and life. The story, which is set against an emotional backdrop, appeals to viewers who like romantic comedies with a strong emphasis on human connection.

In addition to its leading pair, the film boasts an impressive ensemble cast featuring veteran actors Raj Babbar, Gulshan Grover, and Farida Jalal, ensuring a rich and diverse screen presence.

The production is backed by a strong line-up of companies, including Zee Studios, Blue Lotus Pictures, Innovations India, Rahat Kazmi Film Studios, And Productions, Zebaish Entertainment, Tariq Khan Productions, Mango Tree Entertainment, and Samten Hills, Dalat. This extensive collaboration underscores the scale and ambition of the project.

After Chaalchitro: The Frame Fatale, which was directed by Pratim D. Gupta and starred Priya Banerjee, came out in December 2024, Shantanu is making his big-screen comeback. Avneet Kaur last appeared as Ishika in the June release of Luv Ki Arrange Marriage.

Love in Vietnam is positioned to be a major turning point in the continuous globalisation of Hindi cinema thanks to its multicultural origins, acclaimed source material, and gifted cast.
