According to sources cited by Pinkvilla, Shahid Kapoor is set to play to lead in the new action thriller produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and directed by Vishal Bhardwaj.

The source said that the director, renowned for his critically acclaimed dramas, is gearing up for a large-scale production. The project, a mission-based action thriller, is being produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, who is keen to create a visually stunning spectacle. The duo has chosen Shahid Kapoor for the lead role, believing his versatility and action potential make him the perfect fit for the high-octane film.

According to the sources, Shahid was reportedly impressed by the script, which is a departure from Bhardwaj's usual dramatic fare. The film is slated to go on floors between September and October 2024 and will be shot extensively in India and the United States.

However, there is no official confirmation yet from either of the trio.

Meanwhile, Shahid Kapoor was last seen in the film Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya alongside Kriti Sanon which was a huge success. He is currently gearing up for his upcoming film Devaa.
