Shah Rukh Khan to pause King shoot for 71st National Film Awards: Report

Shah Rukh Khan earned his first Best Actor honour at the 71st National Film Awards for his powerful performance in Atlee’s Jawan. The award ceremony is slated to be held on Tuesday, September 23, at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi, with President Draupadi Murmu giving the honour.

However, Shah Rukh has been filming King, an action-thriller starring Siddharth Anand in Poland and is reported to soon return to India to attend the ceremony.

According to Pinkvilla, Shah Rukh will pause his shoot to attend the prestigious National Awards ceremony.

Shah Rukh Khan won the Best Actor trophy at the 71st National Film Awards, which were just announced, thanks to his outstanding performance in Atlee's Jawan. He played both a father and a son in the movie, which ended up being one of 2023's biggest blockbusters.

Vikrant Massey, who won for 12th Fail under Vidhu Vinod Chopra's direction, shared the honour with him. Both actors have achieved a noteworthy milestone with this, and Shah Rukh's victory is being celebrated as a long-overdue acknowledgement of his talent.

SRK starrer King is among his most anticipated films of his career. Reports now indicate that the big-budget action movie, which was originally scheduled for release in 2026, may have been moved to 2027.
