Bollywood actress Sara Ali Khan,Sonu Sood, Bhumi Pednekar, Adivi Shesh have expressed their condolences to the families who lost their lives and were affected due to the destructive cloudburst in Uttarkashi's Dharali region.
The cloudburst caused severe flash floods, destroying homes, homestays, and hotels while claiming at least four lives.ย Many remain trapped under debris and mud following the disaster.
On Tuesday evening, Sara posted a note on Instagram expressing her sympathy for the affected families.
In her Instagram stories Sara wrote, โMy heart goes out to everyone impacted by the incident in Uttarakhand. Praying for safety, strength and healing for all.โ

The actress shares a unique bond with Uttarakhand. She filmed her debut feature movie, Kedarnath, alongside the late Sushant Singh Rajput, in the region. The story revolves around the catastrophic 2013 Uttarakhand floods, which claimed thousands of lives. Since then, Sara has visited the place frequently.
Sonu Sood, Bhumi lament losses
Actor Sonu Sood also expressed his concern over the tragedy. "Heartbroken by the devastating floods & cloudburst in Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand. Prayers for every life affected. It's time the nation comes together -- while the govt does its part, we as individuals must stand up for every soul who lost a home, a living, a life," Sonu wrote on X.

"What's happening in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand is heartbreaking," Bhumi Pednekar wrote on her social media post.

A sudden cloudburst triggered flash floods in the high-altitude villages of Dharali on Tuesday, claiming at least four lives and destroying several houses in its path. Dharali, a key resting point on the route to Gangotri hosts numerous hotels, homestays, and restaurants.
At least 60 people are said to have gone missing, but the number is likely higher, as many had gathered for the Har Dudh fair in Dharali village when the tragedy struck.
The missing also include 11 soldiers, Defence spokesperson Lt Col Manish Shrivastava said.

Colonel Harshvardhan, Commanding Officer of 14 Raj Rif, is leading the relief and rescue operations with a 150-soldier team.
Despite its soldiers going missing and its base being hit, the team is working with full courage and determination, Shrivastava said. (With PTI inputs)
