When it comes to reality TV, Salman Khan continues to rule. The actor’s Bigg Boss 19 has become the most-watched non-fiction show on OTT, pulling in a staggering 7.8 million viewers. And here’s the kicker—it’s even outshined Ashneer Grover’s buzzy new show Rise And Fall.
OTT platforms have changed the way India consumes reality television, but one thing remains steady: audiences love drama, competition, and big personalities. This week’s viewership numbers confirm it.
Bigg Boss 19 Leads the Pack
Salman brought back Bigg Boss 19 on August 24 with new episodes airing on JioHotstar at 9 PM and Colors at 10:30 PM. While its television numbers stayed steady, the real surprise came from its OTT run.
The season’s lineup includes Amaal Mallik, Tanya Mittal, Pranit More, Farrhana Bhatt, Ashnoor Kaur, Abhishek Bajaj, Gaurav Khanna, Kunickaa Sadanand, Zeishan Qadri, Mridul Tiwari, Nehal Chudasama, Baseer Ali, Awez Darbar, Neelam Giri and Shehbaz Badesha. Nagma Mirajkar and Natalia Janoszek were the latest contestants to bid goodbye.
With 7.8 million viewers online, Salman’s show cemented itself as the number one non-fiction title in the country.
Ashneer’s Rise And Fall Holds Second Spot
Ashneer may not be on Shark Tank India anymore, but the entrepreneur still knows how to pull in crowds. His new hosting gig, Rise And Fall, is an adaptation of an international format and streams on Amazon MX Player.
The show debuted strong, notching 4.9 million viewers in its first season. Contestants include Kiku Sharda, Kubbra Sait, Sangeeta Phogat, Arjun Bijlani, Aditya Narayan, and more—clearly a mix meant to keep the entertainment quotient high.
Other Big Names in the Top 5
Amitabh Bachchan’s Kaun Banega Crorepati 17 remained steady with 2.8 million OTT viewers on SonyLIV, proving the quiz master still commands loyal audiences.

Rounding off the list is Pati Patni Aur Panga, co-hosted by Sonali Bendre and Munawar Faruqui, with 1.4 million viewers on JioHotstar and Colors.
