The highly anticipated new talk show Too Much With Kajol and Twinkle premiered on Amazon Prime Video on September 25, 2025, and the first episode looks like a blockbuster. Bollywood megastars Salman Khan and Aamir Khan joined Kajol and Twinkle Khanna for an unfiltered conversation that ranged from love and relationships to family, children, and even the idea of legacy.

On Adoption, Parenthood, and Family

Twinkle Khanna pushed the conversation in a more personal direction, asking Salman if it was true that he once wanted to adopt a child. “Na, never,” Salman replied firmly. But then he added a revelation: “Children I will have, one day soon.”
Twinkle, surprised, pressed further. “Really? When?”

Salman responded with his trademark mix of charm and evasiveness: “Whenever.”

“Next year? Next month?” she asked again.

“No, not like that,” Salman clarified. “It’s just that eventually one will have kids, but let’s see, God willing. And then there is a whole zilla to take care of the children. There are women in the family now, Alizeh has grown up, Ayan has grown up, so now we have Ayat. By the time I have kids, Ayat will be able to take care of the kids.”
Twinkle teased, “So this is a proper plan. You are going to have a child.”

Salman smiled, “Let’s see, I am just saying that I don’t have any averseness towards kids.”

Kajol Pushes the Legacy Question

Kajol, always the straight-shooter, asked Salman if his desire to have children was about carrying forward a legacy.

His answer was unexpectedly modest. “No, leave what legacy? What have we done? Shooting par jaate hain, thoda sa average, mediocre acting karke ghar aa jate hain. Picture hit ho jati hai ya flop ho jati hai. Later if we bag a big movie and we get back to work. So it’s not some rocket science. We did nothing amazing. It’s just the fans who see something in us and want to watch our movies. So because of that we are here. Him, me and everyone is here because of that. It’s not like we have delivered great performances, ya great looks hain, aisa kuch chamatkar kar rahe hain hum screen ke upar. Nahi.”

Kajol pressed again: “So no pressure from your dad and mom? Listen, you need to think.”

Salman was quick to reply, “No, no, there has never been any pressure from dad, mom or anybody to get married or have children.”

Banter, Honesty, and Wit

The episode also gave Aamir Khan a chance to revisit his own struggles and reinventions, while the hosts—Kajol and Twinkle—added their trademark wit. At the trailer launch, when asked how their husbands reacted to them teaming up for such a bold show, Kajol joked, “We’re doing this to trouble them only.” Twinkle added, “My husband says chashma pehen lo, which is code for keeping quiet. I told him, this time the glasses have broken.”

The premiere is only the beginning. Upcoming episodes will feature an eclectic mix of Bollywood’s most entertaining duos, including Govinda and Chunky Panday, Janhvi Kapoor and Karan Johar, and Alia Bhatt with Varun Dhawan. But it’s clear already: with Salman and Aamir baring their hearts, Too Much With Kajol and Twinkle is gearing up to be a show that mixes laughter with rare honesty—something fans will be eager to tune in for.
