Actor Ajith Kumar has achieved a major milestone beyond acting, securing a podium finish at Belgium’s iconic Spa-Francorchamps racing circuit. His manager, Suresh Chandra, shared the exciting news, celebrating the accomplishment as a proud moment for Indian motorsport.

Actor Ajith Kumar has once again managed to realises his dream of taking to the racing circuit and proving that hard work can lead to success in a new field. Following the success of his recent film, Good Bad Ugly, the star hit a monumental milestone outside of acting — a podium finish at Belgium’s legendary Spa-Francorchamps racing circuit.

Ajith’s manager Suresh Chandra shared the achievement on social media with the message: “A proud moment for Indian motorsport! Ajith Kumar and his team manage a stunning P2 podium finish at the famous Spa Francorchamps circuit in Belgium. “DOCUMENTARY: A testament to passion, precision and perseverance on the world racing stage.”

A Hero On and Off the Track

The festivities did not stop there. Ajith’s team posted pictures and videos of the jubilant moment when Ajith Kumar Racing claimed the second place in the race, leaving everyone chanting “AK, AK” in the premises.

“Not only the crowd, but also the love multiplies! Belgians queue up to meet their favourite idol! Whether it's cinema or sports, #AK continues to sprinkle positivity wherever he goes! “A real global icon,” said the team’s statement.

Interestingly, Ajith was in a minor accident during practice before the race, but he was not hurt and went ahead with the competition — a mark of his grit and determination. Karthik’s resilience drew not just the applause of fans but industry peers too, like Good Bad Ugly director Adhik Ravichandran and the film’s producers, Mythri Movie Makers, who took to the internet to congratulate him.

Ajith Says Only ‘Patience’ Can Help

In a rare post-race interview that has since gone viral, the private star was asked about his biggest lesson as a racer. Ajith replied with a word long: “Patience.” It was a candid moment that allows fans a peek into the mind of an actor who has been stealing hearts ever since he got behind the wheel.

The Journey So Far

Ajith lurked in the sidelines for 2025 with Magizh Thirumeni’s Vidaamuyarchi, before returning with a roar with the action-packed Good Bad Ugly, where he was praised for his daring and divergent performance. Simultaneously, he builds on his motorsport efforts, racking up several podiums this past year.

Ajith has assured fans that he hasn’t quit acting, despite keeping busy with his racing commitments. He intends to get back on film sets during the racing off-season (October to March). Though his next film has not yet been formally announced, names such as Prashanth Neel, Karthik Subbaraj and Siva are circulating as possible directors.

And as he deftly juggles two demanding careers, Ajith is an icon of focus, fearlessness and full-throttle passion. On-screen or behind the wheel, Thala still keeps racing.
