Indian television actress Renuka Shahane starred in the television series Circus, directed by Aziz Mirza and Kundan Shah, alongside Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan. However, the actress has recently recalled working with the King Khan and revealed how dedicated he was towards his work.
In a recent interview with Radio Nasha Official, the actress revealed that she was scared to get up on a trapeze, but Shah Rukh Khan helped her. She revealed that SRK told her that an actor needs to do whatever the director demands.
She admitted, “At that time, the character Maria, had height fright, and I myself also have height fright. So I was really scared doing those scenes. You know of trying to get up trapeze and we were all the same age group at that time. Shah Rukh wasn’t a film star. He was already a Television star.”

She recalled Shah Rukh Khan’s advice and said, “I was really psyched because I had to shoot and I had to shoot with Kundan basically. So I was very scared and Shah Rukh just came up to me and said, ‘Listen if you are an actor, if the director says yeh kuua hai aur isme kudo, tum kudogi (Listen if you are an actor, if the director says this is a well and you jump in it, you will jump).’”
She praised his professionalism, noting that he efficiently managed shoots with two different teams and directors, working long hours without issue. She said, “Maine usko 36 ghante tak kaam karte dekha hai (I’ve seen him work for 36 hours straight).”
