It was reported that Bhavana Ramanna was having health issues in the seventh month of her pregnancy during the third trimester.

Kannada actress Bhavana Ramanna defied all societal conventions as soon as she announced her pregnancy via IVF without marriage at the age of 40 years.

Actress Bhavana gave birth prematurely to twin girls in late August of this year, according to the most recent reports. News of the delivery only broke on September 6, 2025, but it was reported to have occurred a week ago.

It was reported that Bhavana Ramanna was having health issues in the seventh month of her pregnancy during the third trimester. Her health had begun to fluctuate, according to a Times Now report, and after additional testing, doctors found that one of the twins was having some problems.

During her eighth month of pregnancy, Bhavana was hospitalised as a precaution. She prematurely gave birth to twin baby girls there. Unfortunately, only one baby made it out alive. Despite the devastating nature of the loss, reports indicate that Bhavana and her surviving daughter are now in stable health and doing well.

The news has just recently surfaced, bringing with it both relief for Bhavana's recuperation and compassion for the loss she suffered, even though the delivery was a few weeks ago.

Taking to Instagram, Bhavana announced her pregnancy on July 4, 2025 as she happily flaunted her baby bumps in the series of photos.

She opened up about her personal experience of conceiving through IVF and expressed heartfelt gratitude to her doctor, who supported her when many IVF clinics had turned her away for wanting to undergo the process as a single woman. She wrote in her caption, "A New Chapter, A New Rhythm

I never imagined I’d be saying this — but here I am, six months pregnant with twins, and filled with gratitude. In my 20s & 30s, motherhood wasn't on my mind. But when I turned 40, the desire was undeniable. As a single woman, the road wasn’t easy — many IVF clinics rejected me outright."

Expressing gratitude to her doctor, she wrote, "But then I met Dr. Sushma, who welcomed me with warmth and zero judgment. With her support, I conceived in my very first attempt. My father, siblings, and loved ones stood by me with pride and love. Some questioned my choice — but I knew in my heart: I was ready."

"My children may not have a father, but they'll grow up in a home filled with art, music, culture, and unconditional love. They'll be raised to be kind, confident, and proud of where they come from. I didn’t choose this path to rebel — I chose it to honour my truth. If my story inspires even one woman to believe in herself, that’s enough. Soon, two little souls will call me Amma — and that is everything. Thank you, Dr. Sushma for walking beside me," she concluded her post.

In an earlier interview with Times of India, Bhavana once opened up about the constant support that she received from her family members including her parents and siblings.
