What was supposed to be a fairytale moment for actor Allu Sirish and his fiancée Nayanika turned into an unexpected washout, quite literally. The actor’s plans for a romantic outdoor engagement in Hyderabad on October 31 were disrupted by heavy rainfall caused by Cyclone Montha.
Taking to Instagram, Sirish shared a glimpse of what could have been a picturesque celebration in a lush courtyard adorned with greenery and glass decor. It is now drenched and muddied by relentless showers. In his post, the Buddy actor wrote, “Planned for an outdoor winter engagement. But the Weather Gods have other plans!” The caption, paired with the rain-soaked visuals, hinted that the couple might now move the ceremony indoors.
The cyclone has brought intense rain to several parts of Telangana, with Endowments and Forest Minister Konda Surekha confirming on Thursday that flooding has affected multiple colonies and roadways across the state.
Sirish had earlier gone public about his relationship with Nayanika in a heartfelt announcement on October 1. Sharing a romantic photograph of them holding hands in Paris, he revealed that they would be getting engaged on October 31.
He wrote, “Today, on the birth anniversary of my grandfather Allu Ramalingaiah garu, I feel blessed to share something very close to my heart — my engagement to Nayanika.” Sirish also remembered his late grandmother, adding, “She always wished to see me married. Though she isn’t here, I know she is blessing us from above.”
While Sirish has not yet revealed Nayanika’s face, his family’s social media posts, where she’s intentionally cropped out, have only fueled curiosity about the soon-to-be bride.
Despite the weather setback, fans are eagerly waiting for the couple’s official engagement photos. After all, as Sirish’s caption suggests, even when plans change, love tends to find its own perfect setting.
