Like every year, the Mukerji family, including Rani Mukerji, Kajol, Ayan Mukerji, and other family members, are celebrating the Durga Puja festivities this year too, at their North Bombay Sarbojanin Durga Puja pandal in Mumbai.

In several videos surfacing on social media, Rani Mukerji can be seen immersed in devotion as she offers prayers to Goddess Durga on Saptami (September 29).

Rani was seen wearing a gorgeous, bright pink and gold silk saree adorned with intricate golden motifs. She accessorised her look with a chunky traditional gold necklace and earrings. She looks elegant and devout because her hair is styled in a bun.

Rani was seen in the video, playing an instrument commonly played while performing the traditional rituals during the Puja, in front of a gorgeously embellished idol of Goddess Durga, adorned with flowers and garlands.

Earlier today, Kajol shared a glimpse of the Puja celebrations on Saptami. Taking to Instagram, she shared a series of photos featuring veteran actress Jaya Bachchan, writer Niranjan Iyengar, and Tanisha Mukerji.

The caption read, “Pujo is always brighter with the people you love around you, #saptamipuja."

Along with the Mukerji sisters, the pandal also saw visits from Ranbir Kapoor, who came to seek blessings, Vatsal Sheth with his family, and several other well-known personalities from the film industry.

This year, the festivities are being observed across India from September 28 to October 2. Marking the triumph of good over evil, the celebration honors the divine feminine energy (Shakti) and signifies Goddess Durga’s return to her maternal home on Earth.
