Tamil superstar Rajinikanth has congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh for Operation Sindoor to avenge the April 22 Pahalgam attack that killed 26 civilians.

The Jailer star also praised the Armed Forces for their dedication and perseverance in protecting the country.

Rajinikanth spoke with the media at Chennai International Airport on Sunday before leaving for the Jailer 2 shoot.

Rajinikanth opened up about his opinion on Operation Sindoor in person for the first time, after previously discussing it on social media.

Speaking at Chennai International Airport, the veteran actor said, "My compliments to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, our triforce personnel, and troops for conducting this conflict with skill, strength, and vigor."

Rajinikanth had earlier written about Operation Sindoor on May 7, hours after India launched an attack on Pakistan. He then took to X (formerly Twitter) to show his support for Prime Minister Narendra Modi following the success of the government-led operation.

“The fighter’s fight begins… No stopping until the mission is accomplished! The entire NATION is with you." Take a look:

India and Pakistan have struck an agreement on a ceasefire through direct contact between their respective Directors General of Military Operations (DGMOs). Despite the peace agreement, the Indus Waters Treaty will be suspended, and the Kartarpur Corridor will remain blocked.

Talking about Rajinikanth, he will be seen in Coolie with Lokesh Kanagaraj. The film is going to be released on August 14, 2025. And he is also shooting for the sequel to his hit film Jailer.
